a new light

here is some cool news.

well it might not be such great a news to some of you guys, but it is really great to me!

so wondering what the news it?

i guess i'll just talk about nothing before i actually tell you guys what it is.

so this week has been quite a hectic week for me. well maybe not such a hectic week. its just hectic at times, because i tend to push all the important things i have to do to the last minute.

so i just finished my law exam. accounts exam was on tuesday. reason why it has been hectic is i kept procrastinating. was supposed to study early but only started studying for my accounts paper about 12 hours before the paper started. as for the law paper, i was scheduled to start studying it at least 24 hours before, but only ended studying it 5 freaking hours before the exam!

thank god there are the past year questions, and the exams were only MCQs. that really saved my butt.

so besides all the exams and stuff, i'm back to running courses again in camp5. finally have the chance to continue practicing my running the courses, which would eventually lead to me getting approved as an all out instructor. there is a course tonight, tomorrow night, thursday night, saturday morning, and sunday morning!

whoopee! its going to be absolutely fun....

ok so here is the cool news.

i finally got myself an external flash for my camera.

this model is called the FL-36. reason why is because at iso 100, this flash can light up a subject 36 meters away. it has an AF assist lamp, which totally helps with focusing in the dark. the head can be turned, so now i can bounce the flash, and its just cool la.

now i can finally shoot gigs properly.

here is some photos of one buck short's event at the loft. it was their album launch and i just stopped by to get some shots and party a little.

before i begin, this is a picture of ted. a really bad picture of him...
just see how many times you can spot ted in the pics. i think besides the performers, he was one of those that was photographed the most. with my camera.

so anyway, on with the pictures.

this is one buck short. without the drummer. spot ted!

and more pics.

and some more. see if you can spot ted again.

alright, enough of the band, here are pics of the ppl at the event.

this is thomas, a new addition to camp5. he comes from france.

this is wan, with a chick which i can't recall her name. wan is a colleague of mine from camp5

a picture of the crowd. see of you can spot thomas.

and lastly, the 2 white guys with really wierd hair styles. can you spot them? the one with the black leather jacket, and the one in purple. they look like they came out of an austin powers movie.

Actually, the Guide Number 36 meters at ISO100 doesn't mean you can quite light up something 36 meters away. You gotta divide it by the aperture e.g. F4 and you get something like 9 meters at full power.
