and so the holiday begins

so today is tuesday. its just like any ordinary tuesday, only thing different is that its in december and that makes it another day closer to Christmas!

whats on the itinerary today?

today i'm going to watch i am legend for the SECOND TIME!!!

its such a freaking good movie man! every part of the movie i'm in suspense, wanting to know what happens next.

after the movie there would be more caroling!

and after caroling, its back home to start packing for phuket!

yes, i am leaving for a holiday for almost a week to phuket. will only be back on christmas eve. sigh... its actually quite sad. won't be able to spend christmas with friends.

oh btw, i got a new lens! its a zuiko 14-54mm f2.8-3.5, if you don't know what i mean with all those numbers, then you should just ignore it :D

so anyway will be back on christmas day!

i love decembers

well i think its about time i made a post. after an uber long time away.

as always i will be giving the excuse that i was really extreamly busy. truth is, i just couldn't find the time to fit the blogging activity into my "lazing around and doing nothing on the computer" schedule.

but enough about me not blogging, its december! the month of the year that i am most happy.

why?

well its becuase it only means that christmas is just around the corner. its always a season thats full of fun and excitement. most of all christmas decorations and carroling!

yes, you heard me right, i do go carroling. its really fun to go to peoples houses carroling and spreading the spirit of christmas.

ok, i guess thats all i can talk about for now. its late and i hear my bed calling me. but as always, before i go to bed i always read a novel and gobble up some chocolates. lately i've been having a chocolate craze. its like chocolates EVERY SINGLE DAY!!

good night.

aj hackett gig.

ok, so its been about 3 weeks since the rave, and its finally about time that i posted about it.

but since i'm actually quite short of time, ill just mostly post pictures and let you paint a picture for yourselves of what happened.

a picture that sandra took, she was pretty proud of it too.

the guys setting up the bungy cage. sadly the bungy didn't go through, cuase there was a problem with the crane. what a bummer.

the person in the cage is johnny. he is this white dude who manages the AJ hackett bungy in bali. coolest thing about him is he speaks freaking fluent indonesian. he even has the indonesian accent. its sometimes weird because he speaks to you in english, then all of a sudden he would just switch to indonesian. the first time i actually heard him speak indonesian was when he was giving instructions to the crane operator. and he was going on and on and on and on. i was totally stunned!

this is how high the bungy was supposed to be. too bad it was canceled. everyone was looking forward to jumping. thats about 45 meters up.

they had to dump loads and loads of sand to cover up all the mud and horse shit that littered the place. the smell of horse shit was so bad that we could even smell it before we set foot on the field.

a random shot of sandra.

me and lok when we were being strapped up on the g-force X. the cool thing about being part of the crew, was that we could sit on the rides as many times as we wanted.

this one is of sandra and me on the g-force X.

a picture of the only air conditioned tent. this was when it was all empty before the party started.
me, lok and sandra, posing on the balcony of out apartment. one thing i just realised about this shot is that we all had one leg up against the railing. only odd one out is sandra. *note* Sandra, why didn't you just go with the trend like the rest of us?!*

some more group shots.

on the night before the rave, we had this weird photography session with the other crew that lived in the next door apartment. they climbed over into our side from the balcony.

now here are some shots of people.

this is lok, he just slapped a huge bunch of sun block on his face. i don't think he even knew that his face was all white.

ok now i'm quite lazy to write captions.

next up is the swing. how it goes is that there are 2 cranes. one crane which holds the swing and suspends it 2 meters off the ground, and another which would pull the swing and bring it to a height of 40 meters. once the swing is at the wanted height, one of the people on the swing would have to pull a trigger to release the swing and all 3 people would come down in a huge swing.

this is a picture of me, sandra and lok getting geared up. i was even able to strap my video camera onto my hand. i'll post up the video when i have the time. then you guys would be able to feel how is it like to sit on it too!

this is when the crane was pulling us up.

this is one of us swinging.

ok, looks like i've wasted enough time posting pictures. i'm late for an appointment with some old friends now. looks like i'm going to be 30 minutes late. as usual...

i know, i know!

yes, it HAS been really really long since i last updated.

i have so much to blog about, but just don't have the time!

time, something everyone wants but never seem to have enough of. i really hate it when i don't have the time to just laze around in front of the computer, reading random stuff off the net, watching movies downloaded off the net, and most of all just plain doing nothing.

lately i've been playing around alot with me new olympus E-510. i'm getting used to it now. but i think i would need to get a new lense. i really hate it when i need a zoom lense and only brought my wide lense along. it pisses me off! so thats why i've set my eyes on a 18mm-180mm lens :D

getting that lense and a new speed light would make me really really happy.

2 days ago, i suddenly decided to climb up onto the roof of my house to take some photos. it was a hard climb. stepping on those tiles on the roof are freaking scarry. plus i was pretty high up. just think about it, i live in a 3 storey house, and i climbed up onto the top most top of the house to take my photos. it was really windy, there wasn't much sun shine, and it was really really high up. i think i was about 15 meters off the ground. good think i'm a climber, so heights isn't much of a problem for me.

but now you guys must be thinking, what in the hell would make noel climb up onto the roof just to take photos?

well here is what i took photos of.

yes i know, the power cables really spoils the shot. but i guess i can't do anything about it. unless i buy some C4 explosives and detonate it at the base of that tower. but then again if i do that, i wouldn't have any electricity.

yes, my first sunset shot. it was actually quite cool. i can see 1 utama, the curve, and some other places from my roof top. i also am able to get a good shot of a sun rise. well i guess i'll only be taking a shot of that when i finally decide to wake up uber early in the morning one fine day.

well in my next upcoming post i'll post some pictures from the recharge revelation, global gathering. it was freaking hell muddy. plus everyone was practically walking in horse shit, as they actually use that field for the horses to graze.

besides that, i would also post pics from the camp5's promo wall in 1 utama. it was a cool wall, also it gave us a chance to tell the people of malaysia that camp5 does exist and lives on the 5th floor of 1 utama.

untill the next post! good bye!

well this week end i'll be heading over to melacca for a party.

what party is it you ask?

well its none other than the

well i'm actually not one to go far raves, but this one is an exception.

why?

well its because i'll be helping out to operate the rides set up by AJ Hackett.

what kinda rides?

well its rides like bungee, some swing thinggy and some other ball sling shot ride. it would be fun. anyway, if anyone of you are heading over to melacca this week end, gimme a call. ill be there on friday :D

more cars from the neighbour

once again i was shocked when i came back from work.

as i opened the gate of my house, walked into the driveway, 2 objects caught my eye. i looked right and i saw these 2 beautiful cars, again owned by me neighbour.

i mean how many other cars does he have hidden in some garage somewhere?

here is a picture of one of 2 of the minis that my neighbour owns.

besides that, he also has a poshe

now here is a picture of both the cars.

can you stand this guy? he has loads of freaking cars!

looks like i'm turning into a stalker... HAHAHA!!

the jog.

so today was the jog day.

i was late as usual, went to pick sandra up then met up with soon seng, jeremy, pam, and zak at the park.

here are the pics.

sandra, jeremy, pam, and zak.

soon seng, sandra, and zak. pam and jeremy were heading back home.

the track.

a look at the park from the top of the stairs.

after all that jogging, we all headed home.

zak was driving in front of us (me and sandra) and at the trafic light he decided to become friendly.

a better point of view

alright, remember when i said i went to KL with jox and sandra but didn't have a camera for photos?

well now sandra has the photos and im feeling too tired to repost the post. so im just going to post a link to sandra's blog post. this post not only has pictures, it even has a better point of view of the trip.

have fun!

on btw, tomorrow morning is camp5's first staff jogging outing trip thinggy. its supposed to get some of those lazy not so fit people out of the office and into the jogging track. ill bring my camera along and document the event. hopefully i can get it up soon.

cya!

TIME!!!

have been extreamly busy lately. don't seem to have the time to do anything.

tomorrow im getting tested on my instructor basic rescue. the bosses are finally pushing me to quickly finnish up my instructor training cause one of the instructors are going on a one month holiday early november. that gives me about 2 weeks to be ready. man im dead...

besides that, its father mitchel's birthday tomorrow, and the church is trowing him a dinner. us youths are going to be singing some songs from the witness musical. more on these after the dinner and when i finally find time to upload the pics.

about jeremy's birthday, i already uploaded the pics in the computer (finally), but always seem to be too busy to go through them and make a blog post. hopefully i'll be able to get it all done this week.

besides that, i also see a new car in my neighbour's driveway. im going to go over there and snap a photo and it would be up soon :D

Monday, October 15, 2007

fun time

well its 1:19 am and i just got back from camp5 after dropping sandra home.

it was jeremy's birthday today, so there was a party. this time it wasn't on such a big scale as last time. it was mostly only camp5 staff that were there.

but anyway i'm feeling alittle high on beer and cocktails and also feel alittle sleepy, so i'll make a full post when i upload pictures from my new olympus E-510. i'm finally starting to get a hang of the camera.

untill then. cya!

Saturday, October 13, 2007

finally my search is over

well i finally got the camera.

2 days ago i went over to KL with jocelyn and sandra in search of a camera for a good price.

we started kinda late, cause ms. sandra chan didn't want to wake up earlier than 11am. so we left at about 12 ish...

**i'm going to keep this short, as i do not seem to be in the mood for blogging right now.

we had a quick mamak lunch and i went to the bank to get some cash for the camera and off we went to busy kuala lumpur!

first stop was pudu plaza. since we didn't know where it was, other than it being somewhere in pudu, it took us about an hour ti find the place. reason why we went there was because ted said that they sell cameras at good prices. but sadly, there was only 2 freaking shops there and they both didn't sell the camera i wanted.

pudu plaza was a freaking scary place. you could see old people walking around as if they were going to beat someone up, the whole place smelled of insence, and it was full of "La La" people.

so we got out of there as soon as we could.

then we headed over to sungai wang, and that was where i finally bought it.

the winner of my never ending decision of my fickle minded brain.

the olympus E-510.

its quite a cool camera.

here are some of the specs:
  • built in image stabilisation
  • some really good dust reduction system
  • live view (like those you have in your typical point and shoots)
  • 10mp (like you cant tell from the picture)
  • uses the four thirds system
  • what ever lens you put on it, the focal range is x2
i bought the twin kit lens, so i have 2 lenses with a focal range of 28-300!!

it still has more stuff. but i'm not in the mood to post it up.

anyway we bargained and stuff. but thanks to the 2 girls that came along with me, i was able to get a better price. if i were alone i would have probably paid a bomb. thanks san and jox :D

after all that buying, we went over to some place which was having a warehouse sale clearance thinggy. the girls went to buy their stuff, while i just hung around the place not able to buy anything as most of the mens clothes were already gone.

next stop was pavilion!

the girls had this fabulous idea if walking from one end to the other on each floor! it wouldn't be so bad if it was a short building, but this building had about 7 storeys! my legs almost dropped off. every time they entered a shop i looked for a chair and just sat down. seriously should never go shopping with girls man. they will be able to beat even the toughest athletes when it comes to shopping.

anyway this is the cool new shopping mall that has opened in bintang walk. its freaking huge, has really high ceilings, looks all nice and "new age" according to san, and most of all it has J FREAKING CO!!

i first had J.CO doughnuts when i went to jakarta. and it was freaking good! weird thing was that everyone that was working there seem to be from indonesia too. they must have brought a bunch of them from indo to start up the franchise in kl.

so anyway, we bought 2 dozen doughnuts, ate half of it there and the other half was for me to bring back home.

after all that doughnuts, our next stop was to get back to sungai wang. went there, and it was back to more shopping again. this time there was less walking aroung, cause everyone was starting to get tired.

we headed home at about 9. i was so happy to be able to sit down and just drive. could finally rest my legs.

sent jox home, then went to camp5 with san to discuss with soon seng what we were going to do for our bosses upcoming party, and after we went to eckywooby for super.

went home after.

ok, didn't have that much pics, as my trusty sanyo ran outa battrie, and my new camera needed to be charged before it could be used.

anyway, will post more on boss jeremy's party soon!! its on sunday!

freaking cool car!

ok, its been a while since i last posted again.

seem to be really busy lately. but anyway here comes another one.

about a month back, i came home from work at about 930pm, all tired and just wanting to get home and get some rest.

i opened the gate walked into the driveway and then i saw something from the corner of my eye.

i turned right and this is what i saw.

i mean what the hell!

this isn't the first one of these cars that he has. he has 2 of them. the other one is in orange! this car has those windshield flaps, super cool seats, and yes, even curtains!

here are a few pictures of the hippie bus in the daylight.

besides the 2 hippie buses, he has like 4 hondas, 3 mercedes, 1 posche, 2 mini coopers (the old ones), a freaking huge 4 wheel drive which he keeps parked outside the house all the time, and god knows how many more cars which he keeps in his main house.

for your information, the house beside mine is one of my neighbour's spare houses.

but among all the cars that he has, the hippie bus is still the best.

why?

  1. its my freaking dream car!
  2. its the coolest car in the world
  3. you can practically live in it
  4. as for number 4, look below.

it's been a while

oh mannnn.... its been like so freaking long since i last made a damn post here.

want to know why i have't been updating?

it's alittle stupid, but the answer is becuase i've been spending most of my time on the computer looking at reviews on dSLR cameras.

ITS SO FREAKING HARD TO DECIDE WHICH CAMERA TO GET!!! ARGH!! i feel like pulling my hair out!

so here is an update on what has happened recently.

recently i've finally got off my crutches.
recently i've been super busy with work
recently i've not had enough sleep
recently i've changed my mind like 5 thousand times on which camera i wanna get.
recently i am starting to get really itchy as i am not able to climb

and i think thats it.

festival tang long

ok, so yesterday was the lentern festival. quite a boring festival if you just sit at home and not do anything. but if you do go out, you could have some fun.

just incase you guys didn't know, carroling practice also started yesterday. so for those of you who should be coming **cough** sandra** cough**, you better come.

practice times are as bellow.

hope you guys like me very beautiful handwriting. btw, i purposely spelled caroling with a double 'r'.

so yeah, yesterday i went for caroling practice last night. it was really nice to be able to sing the christmas carols again. always loved singing, especially during christmas.

so anyway, after all that singing, and stuff, me and ted went over to meet sandra and slim at some park in BU. it was supposed to be a lantern festival, but we had no lanterns, only candles and sparklets and firecrackers that scared the hell outa me.

so here are some stuff that we did with the sparklets (stolen from sandra's blog)

a star!
ok, you know girls, them and their hearts and stuff. this are all such unmanly stuff to be posting on my blog.
are you starting to get hypnotised?

ok, after all that we dropped slim back home, then the rest of us headed over to TTDI Plaza. its actually quite a cool place. i think i'm going to start hanging around there more often.

so anyway, we went to this place called

and you know what? it's actually being ran by an old classmate of mine.

SHALINA!!

so anyway, it was a good chill out place. only bad thing was that they only sell beer from bottles. urgh...

so here are pics of us.

TED

me and sandra

and lastly
a poser shot of sandra.... wahHhhahaa!

little things in life

here is a really interesting question that i came across recently.

when was the last time you enjoyed the little things in life?

when i see a question like this, i start to think, what exactly are the little things in my life?

the little things that matters to one person might not be the same compared to others. thats because everyone has their own life experiences and different point of views.

next time some a-hole cuts you off while driving and you feel like it's your duty to run him off the road and end his miserable existence... pause; take a breath; realize "ya know, i'm alive, and in good health" ... resume driving responsibly, because small twits on the road aren't worth big hassles.

when you're sitting on a bench with your friends or family and one of them can't keep from twitching their leg non-stop (restless leg syndrome), instead of fussing at them, just smile to yourself and think that it's damn good to have friends like them around even if their annoying habits piss you off once in a while.

ever looked up at the sky at night and think about how small we are in the vastness of space? have you ever just looked up and stared at the clouds for a few minutes just to enjoy the view and relax? when was the last time that you just sat down in front of a busy street, with people walking by, and thinking to your self "how lucky i am to be able to just sit and watch people and time go by" ... when was the last time you sat at the dinner table with your family and was just thankfull that everyone is safe and just enjoying the time together?

so when was the last time YOU enjoyed the little things in life?

dSLR cameras

lately i've been cracking my head deciding which dSLR camera to get.

i've narowed it down to 3 brands, nikon, olympus, and canon.

from nikon, i was thinking of getting the nikon D40x

from olympus, i was thinking of getting the E-510

and lastly from cannon, i was thinking of the EOS 400D or Digital Rebel XTI

so what do you guys think?

good bye friends

well just recently, there have been 2 friends of mine that are leaving for the uk to further their studies.

jasmine just left for the uk 2 days ago, and caroline, whose flight leaves in about an hours time.

for jasmine.

its been really great knowing you. for all the times you hung out with me when everyone else was way to busy to go out with me. for all the lame jokes that you come up with. for all the times you did things that were so freaking lame and funny. for all the times we went to hartamas for shisha. for all the times you got angry at me for being too irritating. for inviting me to your prom when my social life was practically dead. for the times you brightened up my day by doing something really random. most of all for being a really great friend.

i would like to say THANK YOU!

have a great time in the uk. study hard, play hard, and most of all have the time of your life.

i'm going to miss having you around.

for caroline.

ok that was the closest picture i had with almost only the 2 of us in it.

again, it has been really great knowing you. i remember when you were climbing at camp5, one day you walked in with a freaking mohawk! i mean that was freaking cool!

for all the times that we went waltzing over to baskin robins for an ice cream. for the times when we would argue over me not allowing you to go for breaks, and you saying that you don't have to listen because you are a duty marshall too. for the time we went for cosmic funk expresses last performance. for recommending me the world class chocolate flavour. for the times when you would correct my grammar mistakes. for the ice cream that you got for me when i was stuck at home with a sprained foot. for those random drawings that you would make when you were bored. most of all for bring a friend.

again, i would like to say THANK YOU!

have fun learning about where we came from and what people believe in. get wasted, make loads of friends, and most of all enjoy yourself.

going to miss having you around. see you next year in KRABI!!!
